This mastering console was designed by the Galaxy team and built specially for us by SPL

The audio goes into a 120 volt chain which gives a headroom of about 30dB above zero without any kind of distortion

This headroom allows us to use analogue equipment up to full digital level, which has many creative advantages during the mastering process

After we blazed the trail, other renowned mastering engineers around the world started to use the same powerful concept

Fun fact: Did you know that AURO-3D can maintain the traditional mastering process while Dolby Atmos can’t ?

What is Mastering?

A final mix is typically in a professional audio format, not meant for playback by consumer devices. Mastering is the last step in the chain of a music production, it contains a technical and an artistic component. It is the last phase where sound can be tweaked and optimized before going into distribution in all audio markets.

From a technical point of view, the mixes are prepared on masters that can be used for physical media products (CD, DVD, etc.) and file formats for online distribution.
